Theft Automobiles Detection System

in our country the theft automobiles are reported at police stations and via random check of Police Petrol units at high ways, parking places, motorways and by other similar ways these are detected .there should be an automated system informing police about the theft automobile activity. the system can be made using a central repository of registered vehicles and from them another repository for theft automobiles, system scanning the number plates informs the police department about the vehicle if it is marked numberplate in repository .
